Question: When people get their schedules next week, finding out what days they do and don't have in-person education, can you provide any more details as to who's going to be eligible for these childcare seats, when they're going to be available, whether people are going to have to pay for them, any other details?
Mayor: One, they all will be free across the board. The childcare that we will provide for at least a 100,000 New York families will be free. Second, it will start consistently with the beginning of school. Third, there will be an application process and we're going to announce that in the next few days; obviously, we want to make sure that the parents who need it the most get it. There are parents who don't have a choice, particularly if they are going to work or going back to work, that others who that may have more flexibility because either they're unemployed, God forbid, or they're working from home. We want to make sure the folks who really don't have choices, get the first opportunity.
